Representation of men and women in the media
In the media women has suffered from a narrow set. They are usually down as young, slim, overwhelmingly white, perfect skin, hair and alluring gaze. This gives women the wrong idea. They think they have to live up to that image when really every picture of the media is photo shopped. This changes how women think and how they look, they put their looks before any intelligence, this is what the media has made.
The Pictures of the women are more that likely going to be a full body shot picture than the covers of the men. This is because 'men look at women, women look at women and women look at them selves'. Women can also have thing that make them look better, for example, heals, make up, tight clothes, all legs out. Men don't really have that.
Men are represented as being strong and powerful. This attracts more men than women because it's like a dream for some men. They want to be strong and powerful like the men shown on the cover.
Overall women are represented sexual and men are represented of strong and powerful.
